Security Awareness Training Instructions

Every year all TCNJ employees must participate in Security Awareness Training. This year TCNJ implemented a new Security Awareness Training platform. The training modules are a little more interactive than the previous training videos, and the training platform allows us to test our cybersecurity skills with simulated phishing attacks.

The College considers information to be a strategic asset that is essential to its core mission and business operations.  The College also values the privacy of individuals and is dedicated to protecting the information with which it is entrusted.  The College is committed to providing the resources needed to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its information as well as reduce the risk of exposure that would damage the reputation of the College.

KnowBe4 is the company that provides our new training platform. When training opens all employees will receive an email from do-not-reply@knowbe4.com with a unique link to the training portal. Copy and paste the link into a browser and click Start Course to begin the course. A new window will open with the interactive training module. There is audio, so make sure your headphones or speakers are turned on.

Sample email for the IT Security Awareness Training Program:

Clicking the training link will load the training portal

Clicking Start Course will open a new window with the training module. The training should take less than 10 minutes, but you can stop and resume the training as many times as you like. Yearly training must be complete by Nov 1. To resend the training link visit https://training.knowbe4.com/login and enter your email address. Contact the IT Helpdesk x2660 helpdesk@tcnj.edu if you experience any browser issues while trying to view the training.

If you are interested in an in-person training session please contact Matthew Cesari at cesari@tcnj.edu

Thank you for your cooperation.   IT Security Awareness is a very effective piece in our IT Security Program and the College’s Information Security depends on you.
